I appreciate your write-up of the meeting. I lament we have received no synopsis of the State Committee's actions/in-actions, votes, or even Press releases directly from any GA GOP county, district, or state-level leader. Instead of helping us feel like we're a part of a team and that we're in the loop, just the opposite has occurred. Not exactly trust-building for a volunteer organization.
You make a lot of sense if we actually were governed by a 2 party system. As we have seen especially in the last 20 years or so, however, we are actually ruled (not “governed”) by an unelected and nefarious “elite” we now variously call the “deep state,” “uniparty” etc.
This is another reason I remain a staunch Christian (a real born again one) Conservative independent who votes my conscience for every candidate in every election.
As a practical matter, this means I vote for the Republican candidate in the General Election but do all I can to vote for true honest Christian conservatives in the primaries—regardless of what the “pundits” say about their “electability” etc.
In our present corrupt and degenerate post-post-modern world, the pivotal issue for me as Christian is abortion. As a consequence, I cannot vote for any dimocrat while their party supports “choice” without any limit.
I have to hold my nose however when voting for their Republican opponents since the GOP is cowardly and unprincipled on the issue, compromising on some falsely scientific time-based abortion law when the only proper law would be NO abortions whatsoever. That is the ONLY position that acknowledges the sovereignty of Almighty God in that He alone creates life and He never makes “mistakes.”
The Election Code is a derogation of common law & must be STRICTLY construed. Register the party and THE ENTIRE GOVERNING COMMITTEE under GA Election Code. Three corporate executives present nothing less than a front for rogue oligarchs. THE GRP, INC. is not a proper GA political organization.
The GA Republican Party and the Party I grew up with in Missouri and over time the RNC, is no longer a free and open to all organization totally existing on donations and workers. It was run by anyone that proved themselves to be true Republicans...and for many like a church they were very poor but truly believed in the Republic and the Constitution. You certainly did not need to be rich to be a Republican. I joined the Republican Party in Georgia in 1964. I moved to St. Mt. Ga and became an active Republican. and everything was open to me. FREE OF CHARGE.
I was an aide to three GA Representatives Dorothy Felton, Luther Colbert and Bette Lowe. The three of them signed my authorization to be a notary and kidded me at the time about being backed by such an eminent showing. And I was proud to be a Republican in such good company. In the MINORITY HOUSE there were only 28/30 Representatives. Republicans like Paul Coverdell in the Senate were people that were steeped with integrity. Over the years 20 of which I moved to Colorado and was chair and worked for Bo Calloway, Mike Strang and when Ben Campbell decided to become a Republican, I was active in that move...I lived in Silverton Co. I was chair of the San Juan County Republican party and also active with the La Plata County Republican Party...I moved to Albuquerque after I sold my store and one of the first things I did was Register as a Republican and become active in the Party and the Woman's club. My daughter was a page to the Republican Women's National Convention in Fla, one year. THE CLUB PAID FOR IT.
THERE was never a FEE FOR BEING A MEMBER OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. I should know as I came from a Family that was steeped in the party and elected officials. I was drug to everything since I was a baby...as have been my children. Their lives have been RELIGION AND POLITICS. We also were in the military. I am at now 81, one month older that our esteemed POTUS and for the first time in my life THINK HE SHOULD BE IMPEACHED...I did not even support the impeachment of Bill Clinton!!! I think people have made a joke of our Constitution and have allowed all our elected people be nothing but ridiculed. EVEN THE SCOTUS.
I have watched POTUS since the 1970s and wonder how people can have such SHORT MEMORIES. We have had great Presidents. And if nothing else, we have given the USA great leadership. When did the Party change so radically?
I didn't know the Republican party was a BUSINESS...but that is what it seems to have become. No one should pay to be a member of the party...they can donate all they like, BUT TO PAY TO BE A MEMBER...is like do you PAY TO BE A MEMBER OF A CHURCH. Well, I do not go to church anymore. Anything that you must PAY TO BE A MEMBER OF THE "CLUB" is based on the wrong basis and ideals. And if only the VERY RICH can afford to be the head of such a "CLUB" for prestige. It is bound to also be CORRUPT. I did not mind paying to go to a breakfast...but I minded a LOT BEING ASSESSED to just go and hear the speaker. I am not alone in this. The largest meetings we ever had was when Rick Davies was Chair. He drew people like a magnant. When I decided to support him, I was shocked at the anger. He was the best man for the job. If it is only about doing the job...then why have any animus...we are all working to make the country a better place...not for personal glory. I am opposed to both the RNC and the GAGOP. They seem to be ordaining rather than following the people who are simply working.
Until Georgia meets the fate of a “near death experience” the State is “done”. If it’s brought back to life and resurrected that will be in the hands of those of all true Conservative Lazarus’.
The law should be complied with.
We conservatives cannot credibly argue for election integrity while our own party’s leaders are not acting with the utmost integrity.
Agreed.

Leadership 101. Leadership by example.
God speed. Yes.
