Hank, your remarks are truly perceptive and thought-provoking. I used to TURN TO TODD with financial and neighborhood suport, but now, in my view, the only association with Todd we should have is to make him the emblem of term limits. Supporting Democratic Sheriffs' Campaigns while securing an endorsement from a Republican Sheriff (for Todd's re-election) creates an unusual alliance, from my perspective. In my opinion, all officials, whether elected or appointed, should be restricted to two terms—one in office and the other in legal scrutiny. The road to undesirable destinations is often paved with good intentions. However, making deals here and there eventually diverts everyone from the righteous path path of serving the Citizetry. If the Office of Governor in Georgia is subject to term limits, then the same should apply to all officials.
A true conservative works toward a government that provides a limited number of basic services and then gets out of the way and allows people to live their lives in peace. Todd Jones and a number of other Republicans (including Gov. Kemp) always seem to be seeking ways to gather more power to the government. Proceed cautiously or one day we will all feel the thumb of big government pressing down on us. Don't think it can't happen here.
I have already contacted my Senator (Dolezal) and asked him to vote against this. What else to do? I was happy to see that Carter Barrett voted no, but sadly, a bunch of others were hoodwinked.......Or bought. You're right about Jones. He definitely needs to go, and conservatives need to completely distance themselves from him. He is no friend to conservatism.
Of course the USSR and other totalitarian regimes use “mental health” as a weapon to subjugate. Not only can it help silence dissent by ascribing such speech as coming from “mentally ill” people but it also affords the opportunity to imprison and torture forever those who disagree.
Yeah, todd jones and many others are just yes men and lapdogs for the one world marxist dictator, I mean governor. I can't believe all the bills going through the house that encroach on our rights. Do these "representatives " know what the constitution says on these matters. I don't believe they do! They act more everyday just like tge communist democrats. Thank you for pointing these things out to us so effectively.
I'd bet $100 that they don't know what the Georgia Constitution or the united States of America Constitution say. Our Constitution hasn't been taught in school for a long, long time, thanks to the Rockefeller takeover of the curriculum.
