Another excellent and insightful essay that rightfully challenges the habitual narrative we have been conditioned by our rulers to support in the myriad armed conflicts that America has been involved in, whether directly or, as we are seeing in The Ukraine and Gaza, by proxy.
Regrettably, if we are honest and can separate ourselves from the false rhetoric fed to us about these matters, we must accept the reality that, the vast majority of these involvements were ill-advised, run problematically, and, perhaps most importantly LOST.
I take no pleasure whatsoever in saying this as an American patriot and especially since I gave 33 years’ of my life in service to this country as a Marine officer, including as an infantry and reconnaissance combat leader in 2 “wars” and several lesser conflicts.
Adding insult to injury, these ill-fated involvements pretty much without exception, left the nations and people in the combat theater, and often even more broadly much worse off in many ways. This is in addition to the irreplaceable American blood and treasure wasted in these losing efforts.
The bitter truth addressed by Hank is tragically not a new reality for us in America. Indeed, my great, great, great uncle was ghe most decorated (not one but 2 Medals of Honor among a great many “lesser” medals for valor) and one of the most iconic Marines in our history.
After he retired, he shocked the nation when he exposed a plot by various high-powered business tycoons to overthrow our government. He also exposed the many private business interests that were intentionally furthered by virtue of the military might of the US being misused purely for private commercial gain.
If anyone is interested, here is more detail. I hope you will read it as my kinsman’s effort is currently being hijacked by the enemies of freedom who are twisting the facts to suit their own purposes of “getting Trump.”
Thank you for such an insightful comment. And that you quite interesting that your great great great relative was none other than Smedley Butler. Wow. Thank you again.
Even before reading your "Israel War with Hamas..." article I was suspicious of this new war. Israel supposedly has a stellar defense system, at least that's what I've heard for years. And for Hamas to be able to sneak into the country undetected made no sense. Add to that the fact that less than 3% of Israel's population owned a gun at that time because the government made it exceedingly difficult to get a permit. Very fishy.
Thank you for connecting the dots with respect to the timing of the attack and the declining stock prices of defense contractors.
To paraphrase Shakespeare
Something is rotten in the state of Israel!
Question for you: Does Rich McCormick know or can he find out who contributes to WinRed for him?
Addendum:
In case anyone has forgotten, we were not in foreign wars during President Trump's 4 years in office.
Thank you for the comment. Does Rich know who contributes to his campaign through WinRed? I'm certain he knows some of them. It practically goes without saying.
Under Gaza there is billions $$$ of Oil ...maybe just maybe why it's being leveled to a non livable condition......let's just wait and see who gets to drill the oil
I too have been very skeptical about the narratives since all the exposure that has come out during in recent years. We have been betrayed by institutions captured by nefarious actors as well as corporatists. I will never look at these narratives the same again. I want to see truth exposed whichever way it goes. Thanks Hank for your insights and helping us mere ‘peasants’ connect the dots.
