That's a very good idea. What does Chris Carr do all day?

When you sit at the feet of one worlder klaus schaub for two years straight ,one can't help but to follows his ways, the dark force. Kemp is becoming more delusional as well as greedy as time moves on. There are more secret meetings than ever. Even our "representatives " won't correspond with the people anymore. Their agenda is only to please the dictator, I mean governor.

Does anyone remember that not so long ago, we Georgians used to get state tax rebates and sales tax holidays?

The more I've thought about it, the more livid I've become over kemp (KontEMPt) using 10 million of taxpayer money to buy Israel bonds. And now this?

The triumvirate of kemp, rattensberger and carr need to be exiled to Siberia!

Hank, I would love to see you write a piece on Chris Carr, who, as far as I can tell, has done nothing for Georgians. If there's another Ken Paxton out there, we need him.

if it moves, tax it. if it keeps moving, regulate it. if it stops moving or can’t move on its own, subsidize it. its what government does, and why taxpayers exist, doncha know?

Thank you, While I agree with your opinion and insight with respect to Plug Power I feel the reasoning behind Rivian was very much different. First, the investment in Rivian made more sense because they were already a company producing and delivering vehicles. Second, they had at the time and as best can be told, over 50,000 preorders for their EV. Finally they were the first and as of today the only company in the world, to have delivered an EV Pickup truck. While the stock has suffered like another EV startups, ie: Tesla, they continue to deliver vehicles and have a strong back log of orders for their SUV. I do not believe in our governments (federal and state) being in a position to determine which companies should or should not exist but if the company does have customers who are paying for their product I believe they warrant consideration of investment. As far as I know Plug is not have such a position.

It is not the business of government to pick winners and losers in the marketplace through "investment".

Government is not investing their own money. Government is investing money taken from citizens under threat of sending in police with guns who will lock them up if they don't pay up.

Rivian was a 2018 IPO with no record of profits. Rivian owes Georgia taxpayers a lot of money. The model is the same, added assessments on the land and facilities to pay back the people. If the company doesn't make it, the taxpayers pay back the debt and sell a useless EV factory to someone who would have a higher and better use. The Rivian deal may work, it may not. The principle here is that providing investment capital for selected businesses and industries is not the proper role of government.
